Through roaring storms of early days, through long and trying years,
A grand design was forged in sweat by driven engineers!
And nature’s might began to flow along the lofty wires,
In harmony with human hands to fuel our grand desires!
From gleams of vision, strength, and will, the boundless network rose,
To banish all the shadows and the darkest of our foes!

We carved the stone of mountain peaks, we locked the raging stream,
The massive dams arose to build a grand, ambitious dream.
The ancient fury of the waves was tamed to steady flow,
To give the world the vital charge and help the systems grow.
In busy towns, the thermal plants keep winter’s chill at bay,
Where sleepless generators spin to chase the gloom away.
High-pressure boilers breathe in tune, a steady, rumbling sound,
Our fiery watch keeps hearths aglow, wherever life is found!
